Environmental Science

Environmental Science is the branch of biology which deals with the relations between organisms, their surrounding environment and the solution of these environmental problems.
Environment, in simplest words, can be defined as ‘The Natural Life on Earth.’
Due to Industrialization, environment is being affected rapidly and we need to stop the elements responsible for its constant destruction. Many species have disappeared and many are on the verge of extinction.
Role of Environmentalist
An environmentalist works to protect the environment from destruction or pollution. Not many people yet realised the importance of environment in our lives. But as the species are disappearing, temperature is increasing, glaciers are melting, sea level rises, forest are declining and atmosphere is polluted, it is the limit comes to protect our environment. Because of all this role of an environmentalist is extremely important.
This led to the introduction of environmental science as a subject. The scope of growth in this field is very high.
