NEET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

1 Qualifying Exam – Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, BiologyBiotechnology and English as core subjects from a recognised board. Candidates who are appearing for the class 12 or equivalent exam are also eligible to apply for NEET 2020.

2 Minimum Age Requirement – Candidates must have completed 17 years as on December 31, 2020

3 Maximum Age Limit – There is no upper age limit till the Supreme Court passes its judgement on it.

4 Qualifying Marks – The marks are separate for each category and can be listed as under. The marks to be considered are aggregate marks only for PCB subjects

UR – 50%

OBCSCST – 40%

PWD – 45%

5 Maximum Attempts – There is no limit on the number of attempts a student can make.

6 Nationality – Candidates who are Indians Nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs & Foreign Nationals are eligible to apply.

NEET 2020 Quick Facts

1 NEET 2020 will be conducted for admission 75893 MBBS and 26693 BDS seat in 529 medical annd 313 dental colleges in India.

2 A total of 325 medical colleges are participating in AIQ Counselling when it was only 193 medical colleges in 2018.

3 From the year 2019, counselling for 100% seats offered in Vardhaman Medical College and ESIC college will be conducted by Medical Counselling Committe.

4 There has been a substantial increase increase in the number of seats available under All India Quota to 4591 from 4064.

5 From the year 2019, MCI will effectuate a new MBBS curriculum which allows a practical as well as theoretical exposure to medical students.

6 Admission to MBBS/BDS seats through NEET 2020 will also include 10% EWS Quota.

NEET Syllabus for Class 11

Physics : Physical World and Measurement, Kinematics, Thermodynamics, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy and Power, Behaviour of Perfect Gas and Kinetic Theory, Motion of System of Particles and Rigid Body, Gravitation, Properties of Bulk Matter, Oscillations and Waves.

Chemistry : Structure of Atom, Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, States of Matter, Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, Hydrocarbons, Thermodynamics, Hydrogen, s-block elements, p-block elements, Organic Chemistry, Equilibrium, Redox Reactions, Environmental Chemistry.

Biology : Diversity in Living World, Human Physiology, Plant Physiology, Cell Structure and Function, Structural Organization in Animals and Plants.

NEET Syllabus for Class 12

Physics : Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Electronic Devices, Atoms and Nuclei, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Optics, Electromagnetic Waves, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnesium.
